4 Year Old Female

Shih Tzu

Daisy came to us after being sold on with another dog and then split up.  Sadly poor Daisy was totally bereft without her companion and could not settle in her new home. She now has a very caring foster who is doing all she can to help Daisy adjust to life without her much loved buddy.

We would love to hear from applicants who are used to nervous dogs and who have the time and patience to allow her to settle in and adjust at her own pace.  Daisy must be re homed with at least one other similar sized dog, teenagers only please, occasional visiting grandchildren would be fine provided Daisy has a place where she can escape to if she felt nervous.  She will need kind owners who are around for most of the day.

She is eating well and adores the company of other dogs, she is very gentle.  Daisy has not been cat tested but we suspect she would be rather fearful and run in the opposite direction.

Daisy is still a nervous little dog who jumps at loud noises and sudden movements.  Keeping her safe will be a challenge, while she is at the point that she will approach to take a treat or have her head stroked, she will bolt if you attempt to pick her up.  She had no idea about walking on lead but with her foster has managed and enjoyed a good walk, or what toys are for.  It is critical that whoever adopts Daisy understands she may never become an outgoing confident girl and they should be prepared for a long journey to allow her to reach her full potential.

This girl deserves new owners who will commit to her for the rest of her life no matter how she progresses. We know she looks adorable and everyone feels they would love to be the “one” but please ask yourself honestly if you have the time and patience to become her chosen one, to help her on her journey and ensure she never needs to look for another home.

Daisy has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped.  She has had a full dental and is up to date with flea and worming treatment.  She is currently being fostered in Sidcup Kent.
