Trevor – Miniature Schnauzer / Not Currently Available for Adoption

Trevor

14 Week Old Male

Miniature Schnauzer

Fostered in Guildford Surrey

Please note: Trevor is not ready for adoption and no applications are being accepted or considered for him at this time.  When he is ready to be adopted an application form will be available on this page so please keep checking back.

Trevor was born with a cleft pallet, his breeder did all the hard work for us and hand reared him so that he stayed with his siblings and came to us as a normal and well adjusted social pup. He has had his first surgery as you can see from the pictures.  It looks awful but the pups generally recover quickly and are back eating the day after surgery.  He will need another one possibly two surgeries to completely seal his pallet and allow him to live a normal life.  Schnauzerfest have kindly offered to assist with funding his surgeries which is amazing (https://www.schnauzerfest.org/more-dog-stories/trevor-puppy-cleft-palate).

People – We cannot get over how social, friendly and well adjusted this lad is, he adores everyone he meets

Can I live with cats – He is currently in foster with feline companions so provided they are dog savvy he would be fine to be homed with cats

Can I live with other dogs – It would be great if there was another canine companion in the home but it is not essential provided that he continues to have lots of social interactions with other dogs

Can I live with children – As he is still so young he will need lots of training  so children 8+ please

Health –  No known health issues.

In the home – As with all pups, he will poop and pee and they will no doubt chew if given the opportunity, he is a  well adjusted pup used to most sights and sounds within the home.

Out and about – Trevor travels well in the car and is now enjoying short walks, he still needs further practice on lead but is making good progress

Type of home – We will update this when Trevor is signed off by the vets and is ready for re homing

Trevor has been vaccinated, microchipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatment, dependent on how his surgery and recovery progress he may be neutered prior to re homing – we will update this when he is ready to be re homed

Potential adopters will be expected to travel to Guildford Surrey to meet Trevor
