Do something amazing to show our dogs you care
Every day brings more requests to take in dogs at risk but we can only take on as many as we have funds available for. Although we don’t want to turn dogs away, the sad fact is that lack of funds often means we have to.
We are looking for special supporters (people like you!) to help raise the vital funds we need to rescue, care for and ultimately re-home more dogs in need.
So, how can you help?
It’s really simple, think of something you’d like to do – it could be something daring and challenging like abseiling from the Orbit Tower in Queen Elizabeth Park,or running a marathon (all at once or over a period of time). It could be shaving your head or it could be something a little more gentle like a group dog walk, a virtual coffee morning, or a bake-a-thon. There are so many options and so long as what you do is safe and appropriate we’d love you to fundraise for us.
Collecting Donations
As a registered charity, it goes without saying that we need to be aware of and authorise all fundraising being done on our behalf. It’s also important that people can see you are raising money for a genuine cause.
Setting up an authorised personal fundraising page for your event or activity couldn’t be simpler, just go to our Local Giving Site Page and click on the ‘Fundraise for us’ button (towards the bottom of the page on the left) and follow the on screen guide. You can have your page set up in a few minutes with a link to share to friends a family to let them donate and, if appropriate, add gift aid.
Sharing your fundraiser
Whilst we know you’ll do all you can to promote your fundraiser yourself, we’d love to help publicise it as well both here and on our facebook page – just let us know what you’re planning by completing our event notification form and we’ll do the rest!
Other ways to help
We know not everyone will want to do their own personal fundraiser but you can still help by sponsoring someone who is; keep an eye on our social media pages to see opportunities to get involved or, if you prefer, you can support us directly by choosing one of the options on our Donate Page. However you support us, we are immensely grateful and can promise you that every single penny donated makes a difference to a dog in need, for that we, and the dogs, can’t thank you enough!
