People – Dobby loves people, he is friendly and social and enjoys all human company, he is a large goofy boy who adores everyone
Can I live with children – We have a limited history for Dobby and he is a large lad, older teenagers would be fine just because of his size
Can I live with other dogs – Dobby is good with other dogs and can be placed with similar sized male or female dogs, no small fluffies though
Can I live with cats – Dobby needs a home without any felines and no small furries
Health – He came to us after being abandoned with a broken leg, we operated and saved his leg. He is now healed and has no ongoing health issues
Out and about – Dobby travels well in the car, he is calm and confident, he is strong on lead and is interested in birds and squirrels as you would expect of his breed. He needs work on his recall as he has just started exercising fully post surgery for his broken leg. He is confident in traffic and is happy to engage with people and other dogs when out and about, he will need work on his recall, he is currently exercised on a longline
In the home – He has settled well in foster, he is happy to engage with visitors to the home, needs to learn not to jump all over humans in his attempts for attention, this is understandable given the crate rest time he has had healing his leg. He may have the odd accident as he settles and adjusts in his new home, this should be short lived as he has made great progress in foster. He is fine to be left for short periods
Type of home – Dobby would love a lurcher savvy home with time to invest in his training, he is a great lad who has been let down already he needs new owners fully committed to him and ready to take him forward to the next stages in his loved pet life, something this boy has not had yet. His owners will need to be around for a good part of the day and be active as he is a bouncy young lad
Dobby has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and is up to date with his flea and worming treatments
